Stephanie is a social entrepreneur and founder of Integrous Women, a network committed to empowering female entrepreneurs to leave a legacy endowed with integrity, achieved through a mission of helping women create, scale, and operate their businesses as business leaders who positively impact underserved communities in the Western hemisphere.

The Challenge

Stephanie, like hundreds of other leaders, suffers from a common problem where the workforce just does not meet the leader's expectations. In Stephanie's organization, delivering consistently at high standards of integrity is part of the mission and core values of the company. "These are not just words," says Stephanie. Everyone in the organization needs to understand and embrace what they mean, but she felt that this was not always the case.

In most organizations, at management level, these issues are ignored as it is a generally held belief that the people are the problem, and this can be resolved by bringing in external training providers to focus on ‘soft skills’ and ‘management and leadership’ required in the workplace. Stephanie had taken a different view: she believes that, ultimately, she was responsible for the performance of her organization – and for the Organization to perform, the people within it needed to self-incentivize to perform.
